“I don’t like the food, it tastes different!”

It’s typically what I hear when I ask someone to cut back on fat AND remove refined oils from their diet.

It’s no wonder.

Oil is 4000 Kcal/ per pound (120 Kcal/ 1 tbs) and your taste buds as well as your brain know with certainty, whether it’s in your meals or not.

With the highest caloric density of all foods, it guarantees your survival more than eating a sweet potato and you were designed with perfect precision to recognise what makes bigger biological sense to eat. Is it carrots or nuts? A banana or an apple pie? We all know answers to that…

As it happens the more calories, the bigger the pleasure. That’s why once you remove the richest source from your food and stick to whole grains, potatoes, legumes and veggies (all 600 Kcal per pound or less), you are gonna know about it instantly.

The good news is that you can totally get used to new flavours and adapt over time (video here) But until you do, there is a way to make yourself more comfortable during the process.

Watch the video and see what options you have, so you don’t sacrifice flavour while reducing calories.

After you’ve watched, it I’d love to hear from you.

Let me know in the comments below:

Which one of the oil swaps are you going to try and why?

As always thank you so much for sharing!

Cheers to you and a delicious way of living 🙂
